Fun with pencil eraser toppers!

Recently, I had fun using manipulatives like pencil eraser toppers to help students remember the notes to their scales. We placed these eraser toppers on specific keys, like B Flat to help students anticipate playing the black key on the F Major scale. The children had a good chuckle watching these “guideposts” fall and didn’t seem to mind the repetitionJ

  3. I love this idea! At the craft store in my town they sell these erasers which are shaped like little animals, or food or anything you can think really. (I guess in some places they're very popular with school kids.) Anyway, I got some to use as game pieces for games which I make for lessons and the kids LOVE THEM!! I hadn't thought to use them as markers for situations like this. Isn't it amazing how when you see a simple idea it makes your imagination begin to twinkle! Thanks for sharing!!
